At the event Unpacked 2024, Samsung unveiled more than just the smartphones in the Galaxy S24 series. It also revealed new features related to artificial intelligence created in collaboration with Google. One of the most talked-about is Circle to Search, which, as the name suggests, allows the user to circle anything visible on the screen to initiate a search. The feature will initially be available only on five smartphones – the three in the Galaxy S24 series, Pixel 8, and Pixel 8 Pro – before eventually being rolled out to other yet-to-be-revealed premium Android smartphones. Based on initial hands-on experiences, Circle to Search works really well and significantly reduces the steps needed to perform a search.
GOOGLE LENS: ECCO COME MIGLIORA LA RICERCA MULTIPLA
Through a recent statement, Google explains that it has made improvements to the Multi-search feature in Lens. “Since its launch, Multi-search has been the best solution for fine-tuning visual queries […]. But now, thanks to our recent discoveries in generative artificial intelligence, Multi-search makes exploring the world even easier,” the statement reads. The update is available immediately within the Google App and translates into much more comprehensive responses. “The new Multi-search experience shows results with AI-based insights that go beyond simple visual matches,” says Big G. Its operation is also clarified through an example. If you come across an unknown board game (for example, at a sale) without the box or instructions, you can still obtain information. Besides feeding Google Lens a picture of the object, you can also ask questions like “what is this game and what are the rules?” Thanks to the superpowers of artificial intelligence, the response will offer an overview that gathers all relevant information gleaned from the web. This way, you can not only discover the name of the game but also its rules. There are also various links to obtain more details on a specific topic. At the moment, this feature is available in the United States even for those who are not subscribed to Search Labs.
